The g60 is almost fully rebuilt! my biggest snag is the power steering pump fits on to an adjusting arm except it seems to be too long to fit the charger bracket. also the crankshaft pulley that drives the power steering pump ( i need one of them!).
I've got a set of audi s2 calipers to paint up and fit to the front, red top injectors from steve (when i can get time off work to go and see him).
Bora clutch pedal set up needs modding to fit the golf, brake reservoir needs changing so i have a feed to the clutch pedal. cable change box needs fitting once the gear change bracket has been cut to shape.
Sunroof still isn't fitted! fuel pump and new filter to be fitted, brake lines/ bias controller/ rear pads need fitting.
i also need a Boost gauge and any other gauges i can think of.
Oh and the wiring loom is from a rado g60, wonder if that means i can fit the console that is loafing in my loft.

Rallye james is scared to come and look at the car! he says if he has a look he will be round every day to get the thing built. FINE BY ME. i need all the help i can get.

almost forgot! i have an air cooled oil cooler, new rado radiator, merc sprinter intercooler, and no hoses to fit the intercooler. seeing as i have so much going on i think i can leave that for a while.

I've got some duostyling "switch" gauges look nice in yours mate. Steve can sort your silicone hoses out when you get to that stage

Well it's been a while so i thought i would post up my progress (or lack of it).
Engine and gearbox has been cleaned and painted, got a pedal box from a passat that i need to fit. A headlining was sourced from the scrappies along with the pedal box, clutch slave and master cylinder. and i am going to make a start on making up the new brake lines.
The brake bias arm on the rear axle has to be welded back on as it snapped off, and the cable change assembly has to be fitted once i have cut the selector box mount to the correct shape.
Other than that i need to refit the fly wheel and the clutch then the gearbox can go back on and hey presto one engine ready to fit (once i have sorted out my garage door which has to be propped up at the moment).
I will post more pics later.

Finally got the engine in and halfway there to being properly mounted. now i need to fit the fly wheel, clutch plate and then the gearbox. Mocal oil cooler sandwich plate is on order so i can rig up the salvaged cooler. i still need to sort out the power steering pump mounting arm. fortunately the scrappies has turned up the crankshaft pulley that drives the pas pump.
